Privacy Policy
SRB Group of Companies Pty Ltd T/AS PSG Plant Hire ("PSG", "we") collects the personal information needed to hire equipment to you, and nothing more exotic than that. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how it is handled, consistent with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Booking and account details: name, company, phone, email, site address or suburb, and the machines and dates you request.
- Verification and payment: licence details where required for specific equipment (for example, forklift LF licences), and payment details processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Website usage: standard analytics data (pages visited, device type, approximate location). Your in-progress booking is stored in your own browser (localStorage) and is not sent to us until you submit it.
How we use it
- To confirm and manage hires: bookings, delivery, invoicing, bonds and support.
- To meet legal and safety obligations, including licence checks and incident records.
- To improve the website and, only if you opt in, to send occasional service updates. We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
Who we share it with
Only the providers needed to run the business: our hire management system (HirePOS), payment processing, accounting software, delivery contractors carrying your site details, and IT/hosting providers. Each receives only what they need to do their job. We disclose information to authorities only where the law requires it.
Storage and security
Records are held in access-controlled Australian-hosted systems where practicable. We keep hire records as long as tax and safety laws require, then delete or de-identify them.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or raise a privacy concern by emailing info@psgplanthire.com.au or calling 1300 12 HIRE. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
