Excavator Hire Perth
Eight late-model excavators from 1.7 to 21 tonnes. Hitachi, Caterpillar and Sumitomo, all low-hour machines maintained to mine spec. Every excavator up to 8.5t comes with GP, trench and batter buckets included in the rate, so you're not paying attachment hire on top just to dig a trench. Tilt buckets, rippers, augers and rock breakers are available to suit each size class. Pick up from our Rockingham yard with one of our plant trailers, or we'll float it to site anywhere in Perth metro.
Excavators FAQs
What size excavator do I need?
For backyard jobs with tight access, the 1.7t fits through a 1-metre gate. Footings and pools usually want the 3.5t–5.5t range. Site prep, demolition and bulk dirt is 8t and up. If you tell us the job, we'll tell you the machine, call 1300 12 HIRE.
Are buckets included in the hire rate?
Yes. GP, trench and batter buckets are included with every excavator up to 8.5t. Augers, rock breakers, rippers and tilt buckets are extra and listed under attachments.
Do I need a licence to operate a hired excavator in WA?
No high-risk work licence is required to operate an excavator in WA, but you must be competent and, on commercial sites, hold the relevant VOC or ticket your site requires. Confirm requirements with WorkSafe WA or your site supervisor.
Can you deliver the excavator to site?
Yes. We float machines across Perth metro daily from Rockingham. Delivery is quoted by suburb when you book. Smaller excavators can also be towed on our plant trailers with a standard car licence and a suitable vehicle.
